Reproductive Justice Coalition and Art Collaborative
85% of Asian American and Pacific Islander women support abortion access. But many seeking to access reproductive healthcare face language barriers, cultural stigmas and lack of insurance coverage.

Community Health and Resource Needs Assessment
APCA is a key partner in large-scale, multi-year health assessments of Arizona’s Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, launching surveys and collecting data to identify priority health issues, available resources and best approaches to meet community needs.
Health Justice Coalition
APCA joins a growing network of partners in the Health Through Action Arizona Coalition to pursue health justice and close health gaps for for Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders.
Partners collaborate on strategic planning and advocacy, collecting data that informs policy efforts to improve the health of Arizona’s diverse communities.
Research
Dubbed the “silent killer,” diabetes affects a growing number of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
APCA partnered with state and national organizations to host the Arizona Diabetes Summit Asian Community Implications in 2015. The summit featured presentations on cutting-edge diabetes research and new screening guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and the American Diabetes Association.
Building on the work of the Arizona Diabetes Summit, APCA launched the Asian American Diabetes Initiative (AADI) to educate providers and empower at-risk community members with access to care and information to better manage their condition.

APCA helped launch A Community of Contrasts: Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders in the West. This demographic report unmasks the challenges our community continues to face and the barriers to services and support.
Yet currently, data on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders often hides the barriers to well-being and healthcare that many groups experience.
APCA advocates for comprehensive data collection, analysis and reporting at national, state and local levels to ensure our communities are visible and well represented.
